A few nights ago I watched the News stunned. Dogs have been virtually cured by Stem Cell Research and usage.
Here's a link- http://www.webvet.com/main/article?id=1593
and another-

If we can move forward and do this in humans, can you imagine the relief we would get?
I do doubt the push for humans will happen sooner than later. There's too much money to be lost in the supposed relief and treating pain. Once again we're in the midst of politics...
The controversy continues to exists over embryonic stem cell research and I myself was hesitant of this for a long time... but everything changes when faced with the incurable...
This doesn't include Embryonic Stem Cells... but own cells...
even if it did....
But honestly... Can you imagine?
Until next time...

Thank you for bringing this out into the light of day, into a group of people who are by nature more open and liberal in their thinking!
Thank God they are at least able to save some of the furry ones with this for now and yes, hopefully very soon even more lives will be saved!
Love ya for posting this!
You are welcome Tiggs
And thank you also for responding. When I watched a before and after video on one animal.. from debilitating pain (to the point the owners had considered putting her down to save suffering) to freedom in running again.. I was so touched.
And you are so right in the meantime the furry ones are being saved for now.
I did read that the procedure costs $2,500, but can be done with in days.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the future because I for one would save all my pennies for such a chance.

It is now possible to approximate embryonic stem cells by turning by the switches on some regular cells. I saw a segment about it on Science Now last night.
This is wonderful. I've been reading up more on it, too.
Maybe people can be helped sooner than later.
