No Shower for You

She was suppose to be able to shower today and isn't allowed to anymore. Not until after getting her staples out tomorrow. Last evening she was resting to try to sleep but then she stood up to go to the rest room and when she came back to the bedroom and was about to get positioned back onto the bed, she reached behind her to make sure her nightie was down all the way, she noticed the bandaged had slipped off the tape, her hand was wet, when she brought it forward, two of her fingers were covered in dark blood. She called her son in, her Master was mowing the front lawn, she asked him how bad it was, he called his dad in. The man had her lay down to check it, it wasn't that bad, the upper part of the stitching/stapling (theres stitches beneath the staples) came open a bit. He cleaned it and re bandaged it.

When the the assistant and her pain management called this morning to tell her the doctor okayed a refill of Norco, which yesterday she was told not until Thursday, this one told the assistant about the blood. It was then she was told not to shower and to wait until after the staples are removed.

A week of baby wipes, fem wipes, and sponge bathing has not been fun. The fem wipes do smell pretty though. lol.

Have had to be even more careful now because am not sure how open it is back there. It hasn't bled like that since. So all is well.

Fell asleep fairly early last night. Just didn't sleep well, it was hard to move and her left leg was not doing well. It's still hurting pretty good. Pain level there about an 8. That's the leg on the same side as the other incision in butt cheek. Think it's pain radiating from one area to the other. Might be stiff muscles too from not being able to get into a good sitting or laying position.

Ohhhh this one's owner has a job interview today.. working from home dispatching for the same company he was laid off from. He wouldn't be working for the old company directly though, instead sub contracting through another.

He already headed out for it...

Until next time...

Greetings twink,

phoenix has a suggestion for you concerning the bleeding. Assuming it's not heavy bleeding slap a couple of wet tea bags on it, the tea helps stop bleeding.

she wishes Master Erik good luck with the job interview.

she wishes you well,

phoenix

Thank you, didn't know that. She'll keep it in mind for if it happens again.

Well wishes, too

Greetings twink,

Yup phoenix learned that when she had a tooth extracted and bled like a stuck pig, lol. her dentist told her to do that and it worked like a charm.

she wishes you well,

Can understand it stopping bleeding in an extracted tooth and be safe too, but she wonders if it could cause infection to the spinal cord.

Well wishes

Greetings twink,

phoenix doubts it would cause an infection but why don't you call and ask your doc if it's okay?

she wishes you well,

Morning phoenix

She gets her staples out tomorrow (er actually today) by the assistant, so will be asking a few questions then, will ask that too.

Will have a post op with my pain manager/surgeon 1 week after to make sure everything is healing properly as well as keep up on any signs of infection. Will meet with Medtronic Specialist to be re programmed again the same day and also find out if this one will need to be placed in a partial body brace.

She wishes you well

Greetings twink,

*grins* Bet you can't wait to get those staples out, huh? phoenix doubts that there will be a problem with using wet tea bags, after all an open incision is an open incision. If her dentist had thought there would be a risk of infection she would have told her.

A partial body brace? Ugh. Talk about restrictive movement! Still you gotta do it, you gotta do it.

she wishes you well,

phoenix

Yes! Good luck to your Master on the new job. How ironic about how he got back to it, not directly thru the company, but as a Independant contractor. I work at home as an independant contractor for a couple of different jobs. If work at home interests him, and he's wanting more, let me know!

I have a huge web-site of links he can check out.

Thank you. It was ironic and if he's (it would be a late April hire) hired it will almost be as if he's back in a comfort zone. One of the men he worked with for 8 years is also working where he just applied and didn't even realize it was the same company. This ones Master was with the other company 13 years but they relocated outside of California. Shutting down the entire Northern California and Nevada Call Centers.

We would both be interested in work from home. There might even be something this one can do part time.

Would be really really really interested in it.

Thank you again,
Wishing you a wonderful day

Work at Home

There ya go. Some things to note, though. Filling out surveys, blogging for money, and mystery shopping is more for fun than anything. You don't get alot of cash, but instead are paid with merchandise usually.

My favorite place for snagging a job is the customer care/virtual call center sections. Depending on what you know though, there are plenty of legitimate work at home jobs, and this site is dedicated to posting only legitimate jobs.

Morning twink,

"We have the technology to rebuild her" LOL. Just please stay away from magnets if they put you in a brace, otherwise you might get into trouble.

she wishes you well,

phoenix

Am about to doze off and will probably sleep right up until it's time to leave for the doc.

So will be reviewing the link when we get home. Will give her something to do and maybe find something too. Will forward it to Master's computer in the living room. ~grins

Thank you, Louve.

Greetings phoenix

Will be asking a couple questions today regarding the brace even though it won't be decided for sure until next week.

twinkle is actually already not suppose to be near metal, when she is... she gets goosed.

~stuff pillows under her, around her, propping her, and a large body pillow between her legs... for um,
comfort. Uh huh, Yep, comfort.

Greetings twink,

Yes of course twink "comfort", nothing to do with either accidently shorting out the unit or electrocuting yourself. Got it. *grins*

A thought. It might be fun to try to get through Airport security....or not.

she wishes you well

phoenix

this message was brought to you courtesy of the word verification "esses" which are what come before arrrs and tees

Well, as I keep telling myself, "This too will pass," and, at other times, "It could be worse."

Hello phoenix

The comfort part implied she was about to go to sleep.

Already been through airport security, maybe she's misunderstanding.

Hi Snow

So true. How are you doing? Are you being good to yourself and taking good care of your arm and shoulder?

Thinking of you

Greetings twink,

There has indeed been a misunderstanding; when phoenix read "~stuff pillows under her, around her, propping her, and a large body pillow between her legs... for um,
comfort. Uh huh, Yep, comfort." she thought you were referring to trying to stem the ummmm flooding in lowlying areas so as to prevent shorting out your unit.

To clarify, when phoenix made the comment about going through Airport Security, she meant wearing the backbrace which she supposes to be made out of metal. It's a commmon joke made when someone has just had something metal put in such as pins to hold a fracture together.

How are you feeling today twink?

she wishes you well,

phoenix

Greetings phoenix

yeah, this one only meant that is how she has to sleep for the time being with all the pillows around and beneath her.

Now she gets it about the airport, you're right it's a common joke that she didn't get at the time. Wasn't thinking brace just the implants.

she's doing okay, got the staples out yesterday. Finally got better sleep without them.

Well wishes
